Envy: A free mini quilt pattern

Envy: A free mini quilt pattern

Guess what? I made my first mini! I designed this little quilt to be a scrap buster and boy am I happy with the way it’s turned out! Introducing….

Envy!

Get it?

This is such a fun way to use up scraps and experiment with color value and intensity. Because it’s so small, only 18″ x 18″, it only took me a few hours to cut and piece the top.  With all the little tiny seams, I pressed each one open.  For me, that is more accurate even though it’s a bit more time-consuming.

I basted and quilted my mini with some straight lines in the background fabric.  I left the green unquilted, making those sections stand out a bit.

I’m so enjoying the gorgeous Arizona weather, so I sat outside to do my quick hand binding, and snapped a picture as soon as it was finished.  Clover wonder clips were multi-purpose here!

I had three lovely testers make their own version of this quilt and I’ll be showing them to you soon! They did such a great job.
