Freedom Isn’t Free

Freedom Isn’t Free

Two days ago, I welcomed home my husband from his first deployment.  He made the long flight home in his F-16 (Callsign: Dexter) and we were able to welcome him and the rest of the squadron back with much excitement and rejoicing.  We are so blessed and fortunate that everyone came home safely. Praise the Lord!

Deployment Homecoming   Deployment Homecoming   Love this guy! I’m so thankful to have him home.  I’m also incredibly thankful for these ladies, and others, who were my rock this summer.  Moving to Japan and then having Mike deploy soon after was rough, but these ladies grew to be dear friends.

As a welcome home gift, I bought Mike a beer fridge to be used for his homebrew along with a homemade chalkboard sign to display his latest brews! He’s loving it – yay!

The little men are sure loving having the whole family back together.

He had to go back to work today, but for the next 2 weeks he has off so that we can spend time together.  I hope you’ll understand that in light of that,  I won’t be replying to comments to the post.  I so appreciate your support of both of us and I will read each comment!
