Christmas Advent Calendar Quilt

This is one of my absolute favorite quilts!  I saw the pattern in a magazine two years ago, and this is the third time its been made. My mom and I worked together to make two versions of this quilt for ourselves with bright colors.  Having seen the one hanging in my mom’s house, our friend asked me to make one for her using colors that complement her home.

Not only is it a fun art quilt, but its a advent calendar, with each house acting as a small pocket for goodies. I like to add candy canes to mine 🙂

Each door on the house has a number that corresponds to the date in December.

There are even a few fun embellishments 🙂
