My second entry for the Blogger’s Quilt Festival is my Disco Quilt.  I’m submitting it into the Home Machine Quilted category.

I made the Disco quilt as a gift for my Dad. It’s a great pattern by Julie of Jaybird Quilts and I had such a great time making it.

You can see all about my quilting progress on this post, but here are the highlights.

Quilting on Disco Quilt

I used a different quilting pattern for each color.  I used free motion swirls in the white/gray fabrics, and pebbles in the yellow fabrics. I used some straight line quilting patterns in the orange and green prints.  My favorite pattern was the one used in the orange prints (inspired by Angela Walters) which really worked well to show off the shape of the jewels.  Lastly, I used different free motion patterns in the black and blue prints.
