2013 in Review

Happy 2014!

So I’m a few days behind but this post is all about celebrating the best parts of 2013!

This year started with a move to small town Columbus, MS which included lots of new beginnings: friendships, church, military-life and blogging.  The year ended with a move away from Columbus to San Antonio.  You’d think that it wouldn’t be so hard to move away from a town after only a year, which would be true if my friends weren’t so darn awesome.  I am so honored to have spent that time with so many amazing people.  Seriously, I miss you all to death!

San Antonio isn’t quite home yet, but it sure is spreading its charm with the beautiful warm weather we’ve been receiving. Plus, I get lots of quilting time. Win-Win!

2013 produced lots of projects! Two lovely brides allowed me make wedding quilts for them and I was able to have one of my quilts published in Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks magazine. Mom received two quilts this year. Maybe its because she’s my Mom, or maybe its because she’s a quilter herself, but her constant “Ooing and awwing” make her the best recipient! Don’t you just love to gift to people that truly appreciate how much love and effort you’ve put into the quilt? (Hi, Mom!) Last but not least, I made a few additional quilts for friends, charity and I even made a few quilts for myself.

Thank you for sticking with me this year and sharing in my quilty experiences!

Love to you all,

Rachel
